BioDT partners, Dmitry Schigel (GBIF) and Dag Endresen (University of Oslo), are co-organising a Symposium session on "Exchange and Reuse of Environmental DNA and Metabarcoding Data" as part of the TDWG Conference this year. The insights gained from this session will be invaluable in advancing the development of the Biodiversity Digital Twin prototype.

On 3 October, the BioDT project partner Thomas Geenen chairs the session "Digital Twin development in Europe" as part of the EuroGEO Workshop 2023. The workshop takes place in Bolzano Italy from 2 to 4 October 2023.

The Semantic Academy Intensive School is back with its 2023 edition! This year the event takes place in Lecce (Italy) and offers all the attendees to explore research topics related to Data Science, Semantics, Ontologies, Vocabularies and Virtual Research Environments (VREs) applied to biodiversity.

From 20-22 September 2023, the EOSC Symposium takes place in Madrid, in the context of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The EOSC Symposium is organised by the EOSC Future project, together with the EOSC Tripartite collaboration (the EOSC Association, the EOSC Steering Board and the European Commission).
